When two reversed pitch screws are used, the oil extraction yield increases with the distance between them and with the decrease of the screw pitch (Amalia Kartika et al., 2005a). The best yield obtained with such screw configuration is close to 70% but the introduction of a second filtration zone improves it to 85% (Amalia Kartika et al., 2005a).
